Mat 3:2 – It’s not what you think it is…

In virtually every English version of the Bible we read the following :
Mat 3:2
And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
The Greek Word used here for Repent is Metanoeia.
However the word Metanoeia is made of two words: Meta and Noeia meaning literally CHANGE THE MIND.
This has the connotation to shift your way of thinking from the way you were to another better, higher way.
Or even the following :
Think differently, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Transform your mind / consciousness for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Can you see what a remarkable difference this more correct translation of the word makes to this profound statement by John ?
This even takes out the qualification to have a repentant heart before you come to the kingdom, for some sins have beset people to the extent that repentance (turning away from them) is nigh impossible, save they come to the glorious Son of God, who will see that sinner, and simply by that person believing will cover Him with His blood, further enacting a process of setting him free. Amazing how one word has clouded the true meaning and intent of this verse. Freely the gospel is given, to all who will receive.
